Kazawa Hot Spring with Brompton

Today, Brompton and I went to Kazawa Onsen hot spring in Gunma prefecture for a day trip climbing beyond Jizo Toge bordering Gunma and Nagano.

From Tokyo Station, you use Hokuriku Shinkansen to Sakudaira Station of Nagano Prefecture. When you get off the bullet train, then you take a bus bound for the Yunomaru Ski Resort. If you get a 6:20 bullet train at Tokyo Station, you arrive the Jizo pass around 9:30 am. Then let's start a ride to cross a ridge.

The snow-covered mountain road is beautiful.

The route called "Yu-no-michi" meaning a hot spring road has been used for the past hundreds years to reach this historic hot spring Kazawa Onsen.

There are a hundred stone-made statues in every 110 meter along the route led to the hot spring.

The hot spring is really secluded and I experienced both a great ride and priceless bathing.
